Retired SoJSM professor awarded Emeritus status

Retired School of Journalism and Strategic Media professor Leon Alligood was awarded Emeritus status in a ceremony held on August 22, 2024. Alligood taught at MTSU for 15 years and is also a member of the Tennessee Journalism Hall of Fame.

At the Tennessee Association of Broadcasters awards, SoJSM students earned multiple honors for their work:

1^st Place – Best Digital Media – MTN Sports – Battle of Nashville

2^nd Place – Best Digital Media – MTN Sports – Building a Dynasty
